Widemile Honored at 2007 Seattle Show Awards

Creative Work for Windows Vista® Launch Wins Award in Competition
Which Included Leading Creative Firms DDB Seattle, Ascentium, Horton, Lantz & Low, and WONGDOODY, Amongst Others

Seattle, WA – July 25, 2007Widemile Inc., an emerging leader in multivariate testing and web content optimization, today announced that its creative services group received the Silver Award at the recent 2007 Seattle Show. Established in 1998 as a creative competition, the Seattle Show recognizes the best creative work and talent in design, interactive marketing and advertising in the Puget Sound area. The competition included four core disciplines and 14 interactive categories and was judged by a panel of national experts from TBWA/Chiat/Day, The Martin Agency, and Leo Burnett, amongst others. Over 900 creative pieces were submitted overall, with over 40 in the Interactive Consumer Products category, including work from leading firms DDB Seattle, Ascentium, Horton, Lantz & Low and WONGDOODY. Widemile was chosen as the Silver Award winner in the Interactive Consumer Products category for its work on the Windows Vista launch.

“Widemile was a key partner and contributor to our Windows Vista launch at retail, which was quite expansive,” said Christian Johanneson, Sales Director, at Microsoft. “We’ve worked with them over a number of years – they truly understand how to develop creative pieces that are both entertaining and convey key customer benefits.”

The company worked with Microsoft to create “They Came for Windows Vista”, an online sales training program for Windows Vista retailers, including Best Buy, Comp USA, Office Depot, and Staples. The program included a website, six rich media presentations, and over 100 emails. All creative were localized into German, Spanish, Japanese, and French as well for global consistency and leverage on marketing investments. In addition, the site was the first to present the new Vista packaging designs for the various versions of the product, and has received over 100,000 views so far in the campaign. The award winning pieces can be viewed at www.windowsvistaretail.com.

“The Seattle Show award is an honor, and we’re thrilled to be recognized for our work on behalf of Microsoft, one of our best clients,” said Andy Arkley, Creative Director at Widemile. “Great creative is powerful and forms the basis of campaign success.”

“Because so many Seattle creative firms do work you’d never see while sitting at home parked on the couch, the Seattle Show gives all of us the chance to admire some of the extraordinary creativity that comes out of this city,” said Larry Asher, co–founder of the show along with Fred Hammerquist and Tracy Wong. “As a body of work, the Seattle Show winners stack up very well to the best marketing communications anywhere.”
